Looking ahead to November 2026, Bitcoin (CRYPTO: BTC) makes the strongest case as the best crypto to buy. It remains the only major coin attracting ETF investments. Bitcoin trades around $80,642, down 3.5% this month, after fluctuating between about $86,490 on October 4 and $80,029 on October 26. Despite a challenging month, Bitcoin has fared much better than many other cryptocurrencies.

In contrast, Ethereum (CRYPTO: ETH), XRP (CRYPTO: XRP), and Solana (CRYPTO: SOL) have all fallen more than 10% in the past 30 days. On a brighter note, Hyperliquid (CRYPTO: HYPE) has surged 216% this year. Market sentiment appears neutral, with the Crypto Fear & Greed Index—a gauge from 0 to 100—at 48. Investors are watching the Federal Reserve’s rate decision as its target rate ceiling stands at 4.00%.

Bitcoin Leads on ETF Inflows and Holds Up Better Than Altcoins

Bitcoin is the only major cryptocurrency attracting new ETF investments. Specifically, spot Bitcoin ETFs—which hold Bitcoin for stock-market investors—received $110 million on October 26 and an additional $176 million on October 27, according to data from SoSoValue. In stark contrast, Ether funds experienced outflows of $89 million and $60 million over the same period.

Bitcoin has retained its value better than its peers. With a 3.4% drop over the past month, it outperformed Ethereum (-12.4%), XRP (- 11.8%), and Solana (-14.5%). Notably, Bitcoin is trading above its 200-day moving average of $73,029—suggesting a stronger long-term trend.

Jesse Marre from Hilbert Group suggests Bitcoin’s support levels are between $79,500 and $78,500, with another level at $75,500. On the upside, he identifies key levels at $81,400, $85,000, and $87,500. Bitcoin is just below the $81,400 mark, so a significant move above this level could open the door to $85,000.

Alex Thorn of Galaxy Digital (NASDAQ: | GLXY Price PredictionGLXY) is optimistic about Bitcoin’s future. He believes the bear market ended in June and that Bitcoin is now in an accumulation phase, which traditionally has preceded earlier price advances. With Bitcoin 36% below its October 6, 2025 all-time high of $126,080, there appears to be ample room for growth if Thorn’s predictions hold true.

Hyperliquid Has Climbed 216% This Year but Has Cooled Off

Hyperliquid’s HYPE token underpins a decentralized exchange for perpetual futures—contracts that allow traders to hold positions indefinitely. HYPE trades at around $80, reflecting a remarkable year-to-date rise of 216%. However, it is now 17.9% off its $98 peak from September 23, putting it closer to its record high than most other coins in this analysis.

Nevertheless, HYPE has cooled off, down 8.1% over the last month and hovering around its 20-day average of $80, while trading below its 50-day average of $85. A rebound above $85 could signal renewed buyer interest and possibly lead to a new high above $98.

Privacy-focused cryptocurrencies have also seen substantial gains. For instance, Zcash (CRYPTO: ZEC), a coin that masks the sender’s identity, is up 306% over the last year, although it has seen a 13.5% dip in the past month. Monero (CRYPTO: XMR), another privacy coin, gained 13.4% over the past month. However, these coins tend to be more volatile than Bitcoin, leading to sharper pullbacks.

Ethereum, XRP and Solana Are Losing Both Price and ETF Money

Larger altcoins such as Ethereum, XRP, and Solana are facing challenges, losing both price and ETF investment. Ethereum is trading around $2,336, down 21.3% from $2,970 at the start of the year and 52.8% below its all-time high. To recover this year’s losses, Ethereum needs to climb back above $2,970.

XRP trades at about $1.32, down 28.3% year-to-date. On October 26, XRP funds saw $3.6 million in outflows, followed by no flows the next day. While XRP remains above its 200-day average of $1.28, it still falls short of its 50-day average of $1.40, a necessary threshold for a credible recovery.

Similarly, Solana trades near $101—65.5% lower than its peak. During the same two days, Solana funds reported outflows of $8 million and $19 million. Until these ETF outflows stop, these three cryptocurrencies are more likely to follow Bitcoin’s trajectory than lead.

Is Bitcoin the Best Crypto to Buy Heading Into November?

Heading into November, Bitcoin stands out as the strongest option among major cryptocurrencies. It is the only one receiving consistent ETF inflows, and despite market challenges, it has performed better over the past month. While HYPE shows impressive momentum for the year, its 216% increase brings higher risk. Bitcoin is 36% below its record peak, and if it can’t hold above the $78,500 support level, it could slide toward $75,500.

A bullish scenario requires the Federal Reserve to avoid signaling tighter policy on October 28. Bitcoin also needs to surpass and hold above $81,400 to reach Marre’s $85,000 and $87,500 levels. The outlook shifts negatively if Bitcoin drops below $78,500 or if daily ETF inflows turn into outflows. However, if Bitcoin holds $78,500 and continues to attract ETF investment through mid-November, it is likely to remain the strongest major coin heading into December.
