Bitcoin miners surge while Meta and enterprise software sell off hard

Bitcoin miners Cipher Mining and Iren each jumped more than 27% while Meta tanked 8.6% and enterprise software stocks sold off sharply.

Cipher Mining (CIFR) and Iren (IREN) led the session's gainers with jumps of 28.4% and 27.2% respectively, closing at $22.72 and $37.29. Marathon Digital (MARA) also rode the crypto tailwind, adding 18.4% to close at $11.90, making Bitcoin mining stocks the clear standout group of the day. SanDisk (SNDK) and Astera Labs (ALAB) rounded out the top gainers with advances of 24.7% and 19%, respectively.

On the losing side, Meta fell 8.6% to close at $535.18, a sharp single-session drop for one of the market's largest companies. Enterprise software names bore the brunt of the selling alongside it: Asana slid 8.1% to $7.83, DocuSign dropped 7.2% to $53.98, and Samsara lost 6.8% to close at $36.12, pointing to broad-based pressure across that corner of the market.
