About Dine Brands Global

Dine Brands Global, Inc. (NYSE: DIN), through its subsidiaries and franchisees, supports and operates full-service and fast-casual restaurants under the Applebee's Neighborhood Grill + Bar, IHOP and Fuzzy's Taco Shop brands. As of September 27, 2026, these brands comprised nearly 3,500 restaurants. The company entered the fast casual segment in 2022.

The business is predominantly franchised and asset-light. Revenue comes from franchise royalties, fees and advertising contributions, rental income from properties leased to franchisees, and a growing company-owned restaurant base. Company-owned Applebee's restaurants rose to 118 after franchisee acquisitions in 2025 and 2026.

Dine is expanding dual-branded IHOP/Applebee's locations, with 49 domestic and 41 international sites. It is also investing in remodels and its company-operated portfolio, funded by securitized debt. Updated

Buying 60 Applebee's restaurants added $36.9 million in company-owned sales for Dine Brands, but those locations ran at a loss and EPS came in short of estimates. Nine-month operating cash flow fell to $37.8 million from $83.3 million, a real problem for a company carrying $1.19 billion in long-term debt.
