Every one of the five worst names at Friday's close was an AI data center or cloud stock, led by CoreWeave's 12.3% drop. The entire winners' list came from energy and defense.
Latest Activity
CoreWeave's 6.8% drop anchors a decline list made up entirely of compute and data-center names. Downside is moving roughly three times faster than upside this morning.
Every one of today's five worst performers in a 383-name universe lost double digits, led by CoreWeave's 15.42% drop. The best gain on the other side was capped at 4.62%, so the downside is moving far faster than the upside.
A 12.99% slide to $109.62 strips roughly $1.7 billion off DigitalOcean's $12.9 billion market cap in a single session. Moves this large are rare for the cloud name, and the after-hours tape will set the tone for tomorrow's open.
An 11.9% slide wipes out roughly a tenth of DigitalOcean's market value in a single session, a violent move even for this name. Whether the $125.99 open gets reclaimed is the level to track.
All three major US wireless carriers closed down double digits on the same day, a rare sweep for names usually bought as defensive income. Moderna's 13.8% gain topped the board on the other side.
Arm closed up 17.19% at $323, topping a session where four other priority names each added more than 12%. Declines stayed shallow: Novo Nordisk's 7.94% drop was the only one past 4%, with Exxon Mobil and Chevron down under 3%.
A 12.4% intraday run adds roughly $2 billion of market value in one session. Moves that big are rare for this cloud name, and holding the $131.50 open as support is the next test.
Server hardware owned Friday's close: Hewlett Packard Enterprise added 12.2% and Dell 11.5%, with ON Semiconductor and Super Micro also finishing up more than 7%. NuScale Power sat at the other extreme, down 14.8% to $8.70.
Cloudflare closed up 10.57% at $314.35, the biggest gain across 111 priority names. Cipher Mining shed 8.56% and Lyft 7.91% at the other extreme.
