A 5.45% jump to $483.24 adds roughly $9 billion to this $170.7 billion medtech name in a single session, a rare one-day move for the robotic surgery leader. No confirmed company catalyst behind it yet.

A 4.49% climb to $478.83 adds roughly $7 billion to a $169 billion medtech name that rarely moves this much in a single session, with no confirmed catalyst behind it.
Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 11/2/26
- Oil's drop pulled long rates down, lifting Amazon, Capital One, JP Morgan, Costco and Walmart on no company news
- Non-tech growth is where the money went: medical devices like Medtronic and Intuitive Surgical, plus staples Pepsi and P&G
- Apple's record September quarter beat on iPhone and Mac, but Cramer expects the stock lower short term on guidance
- Oracle filed to raise $20 billion days after saying it would limit raises; Intel seen losing PC share to AMD
The call is that falling long rates are repricing everything outside tech right now rather than earnings, and Cramer says growth stocks away from semis are the clean way to play it. He is warning Apple holders that guidance will disappoint even after a record quarter, and he is openly annoyed at Oracle for raising capital immediately after promising restraint.
A 4.16% slide to $434.73 takes roughly $6.7 billion off a $153.6 billion market cap in a single session, a big daily swing for a megacap medtech name. Watch whether the $453.60 open gets recovered.
A 7.17% jump to $428.93 is a rare one-day move for a $151.5 billion medtech name, and it lands the session after the Q3 earnings filing hit EDGAR. Whether the robotic surgery leader holds this level is the next question.
Super Micro Computer opened up 13.4%, the biggest move across a 387-name priority list, with Dell, Vertiv and Bloom Energy also clearing 5%. Netflix and AT&T anchor the other end, each off roughly 4.8%.
Hospital capital budgets are still opening: 546 da Vinci placements last quarter, up from 427, with surgeons running more than 10,000 procedures a day on Intuitive's systems. A $450 million litigation settlement charge pulled GAAP earnings to $1.49 a share, and management flagged tariff exposure on Mexico and Germany manufacturing as a material risk.
Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 10/5/26
- Cramer flags a broken pattern: oil fell while the 30-year yield climbed to 5.66%, near 6%
- Nasdaq's record close carried by Microsoft on Copilot, Meta's small-business ad shift, and Nvidia's all-time high
- Saudis discounting crude $5 below the Oman/Dubai benchmark is market share defense, not a fading war premium
- Caller questions on Intuitive Surgical as a broken stock, plus KLA, Domino's and SoFi
Cramer's warning: strip out Microsoft, Nvidia and Meta and the safety names were hit, meaning three stocks are carrying the index. He says the bond market tells the truth longer term, and the 30-year at 5.66% caps any broad rally. Owning the hyperscalers has been the only trade that worked.
A 4.2% intraday run to $406.18 adds roughly $6 billion to a $145 billion medtech name that rarely moves this hard in a single session. Whether it holds into the close is the tell.
