Baxter International Inc. is a global medical technology company serving hospitals, physician offices and other sites of care with connected solutions, medical devices and advanced injectable technologies. Following the sale of its Kidney Care business (now Vantive), Baxter reports two segments.

Medical Products & Therapies contains two divisions:
- Infusion Therapies & Platforms, which absorbed the former Pharmaceuticals segment. It covers sterile IV solutions, infusion systems such as the Novum IQ pump, administration sets, parenteral nutrition, specialty injectable pharmaceuticals, inhaled anesthesia and drug compounding.
- Advanced Surgery, which covers surgical hemostats, sealants and adhesion-prevention products.

Healthcare Systems & Technologies, largely built from the Hillrom acquisition, also contains two divisions:
- Care & Connectivity Solutions, covering smart bed systems, connected monitoring, Global Surgical Solutions and Patient Support Systems.
- Front Line Care, covering diagnostic technologies and respiratory health devices.

The company also supplies Vantive under a Kidney Care manufacturing and supply agreement. Baxter has approximately 37,500 employees, and sales are split roughly evenly between the U.S. and international markets. Updated Oct 29, 2026
