World Billionaire Count Reaches Record 2,325

The world has 2,325 billionaires, with a combined net worth of $7.3 trillion. That is if new data from Wealth X and UBS are right. At least two other well-known organizations measure billionaire counts: Forbes and Bloomberg. Based on how cleverly the ultra-rich can hide their assets and how complex their personal balance sheets are, everyone one of the figures is suspect.

Wealth X claims the United States has the most billionaires at 571, followed by China at 190, the United Kingdom, at 130, Germany at 123 and Russia at 114.

New York leads cities with 103 billionaires.
