Live coverage has ended. The full story is below.
Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META | META Price Prediction) reports Q2 2026 results tonight after the bell at around 4:00 PM ET. The report lands amid Magnificent Seven earnings week, with capex intensity, ad pricing, and progress at Meta Superintelligence Labs all under the microscope tonight after a bruising month for the stock.
Ad Strength Meets Capex Scrutiny
Meta’s Q1 2026 report set a high bar. Revenue hit $56.3 billion, up 33% YoY, with ad impressions up 19% and price per ad up 12%. EPS of $10.44 included an $8.03 billion tax benefit, and shares still slid 8.55% on the day.
Since then, CEO Mark Zuckerberg raised the FY 2026 capex range while holding total expenses at $162–$169 billion. On July 28, Meta and BlackRock (NYSE:BLK) unveiled a $14 billion El Paso data center venture, with BlackRock funds owning 80% to ease the balance sheet strain.

The Street sits near the top of guidance on revenue, leaving little room to beat without a genuine acceleration. A 2% FX tailwind is already baked in, so the setup is simple: constant-currency growth needs to hold in the high 20s.
Margins, Capex, and Superintelligence Take Center Stage
Tonight, I’ll be watching five things tonight. First, the FY 2026 capex range. CFO Susan Li flagged $107 billion in new contractual commitments last quarter, and any upward revision will reignite the retail debate raging on r/wallstreetbets about capex versus ad revenue.
Second, price per ad. Prediction markets peg 9%-12% growth at 55.5% probability. Third, Reality Labs, which posted a $4.03 billion operating loss in Q1. Fourth, Muse Spark adoption and business AI monetization, where Zuckerberg said weekly conversations grew 10 times this year.
Finally, management’s overall tone. Zuckerberg framed the mission bluntly: “We are on track to deliver personal superintelligence to billions of people.”
