Alphabet now has several growth drivers running at the same time. Google Cloud grew 82% last quarter. The Gemini app reached 950M monthly users, and YouTube’s combined ads and subscriptions business runs at more than $60B a year. The open question is whether record AI spending earns an enough return.

Cloud Surge Powers a Quarter Wall Street Underestimated

Why Bulls See $624 and Beyond

Our bull case reaches $624.42. Cloud is doing much of the work here. Its operating margin expanded from 20.7% to 35.6% over the past year, and the backlog reached $514 billion. Revenue from TPU system sales should ramp mostly in 2027.

AI Mode now has more than 1 billion monthly users, and management says it is adding to total search queries. Waymo completes more than 500,000 rides per week, and Alphabet has more than 350M paid subscriptions.

The analyst community largely agrees: 13 analysts rate the stock Strong Buy, 43 rate it Buy and none rate it Sell.

Capex and Debt Risks That Could Cap the Rally

The bear case comes to at $455.04. Quarterly capex doubled to $44.92B, which drove free cash flow to negative $5.86B. Long-term debt rose from $46.5B to $98.2B, and buybacks are suspended. Management also expects third-party capacity to weigh on Cloud margins.

News sentiment has cooled from 67.19 to 58.9 since late August. Still, operating cash flow hit $39.1 billion in the quarter. Management also says demand for AI infrastructure is running ahead of available supply, and the power, cooling, and networking suppliers behind that expansion are the subject of a free report on seven AI infrastructure names beyond the chipmakers.

GOOG price scenario

Alphabet Trades Cheaper Than Microsoft and Meta

Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) is the most direct rival in cloud and enterprise AI. The stock trades at 25x forward earnings, while its revenue grew 17.7%, slower than Alphabet’s.

Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) competes for the same digital ad budgets. Meta trades at 22x and grew revenue 28%, but its quarterly earnings fell 13.4%.

Company Forward P/E Revenue Growth (YoY)
Alphabet 22x 24.2%
Microsoft 25x 17.7%
Meta 22x 28%

Our target looks reasonable next to these peers, though it leans slightly aggressive. Getting to $559 requires Alphabet’s multiple to rise toward Microsoft’s premium, and Cloud’s growth supports that case.

Alphabet Price Prediction 2026-2030

The 24/7 Wall St. price target of $559 carries a buy rating at 90% confidence. The deciding factor is Cloud’s growing profitability.

The case gets stronger if Cloud keeps converting its backlog into margin expansion. It weakens if negative free cash flow lasts into 2027 while Search growth slows.

Assuming Alphabet’s current growth holds, here is where our model projects the stock trading in coming years.

Year Price Target from 24/7 Wall St.
2026 $559
2027 $692
2028 $857
2029 $1,060
2030 $1,313

These projections assume Alphabet keeps executing its full-stack AI strategy. Returns on its $175B-$185B capex plan could drove the stock well above or below this path.
