Fabrinet shed 20.25% on August 18, 2026, the steepest decline across a 110-name priority watchlist, sharp enough to pull the optical networking group lower with it.
Applied Optoelectronics and Coherent both fell double digits the same day, so the selling pressure was not isolated to Fabrinet. Three companies in the same niche sliding together reads as a sector-wide repricing.
