Albemarle Corporation (NYSE: ALB) is a global specialty chemicals company that transforms essential resources into critical ingredients for mobility, energy, connectivity, and health. The company operates through two primary segments: Energy Storage, which produces lithium and lithium compounds used in batteries for electric vehicles and energy storage systems, and Specialties, which produces bromine and bromine-based derivatives used in flame retardants, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors, oil and gas, and other applications. Albemarle sources lithium from operations in Chile (through a CORFO agreement), Australia (through the Talison and Wodgina joint ventures), and other global locations. The company recently divested a controlling stake in its Ketjen refining catalyst solutions business and retains a Performance Catalyst Solutions business.
