The downside is doing the damage at Wednesday's open: Applied Optoelectronics is off 10.13%, with Dell and SanDisk each shedding roughly 9%. The best gainer, Intuit at 5.07%, does not come close to matching it.

Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 10/14/26
- Hot CPI, up 0.6% from August to September, plus rising oil leaves the next Fed move genuinely unclear
- Bank stocks sold off on good quarters: Morgan Stanley dropped seven bucks, Citi and Wells Fargo found no footing
- CoreWeave's slide and distressed neocloud debt are dragging on the broader tape
- Amazon, Walmart and Costco seen as the retailers that would roll back prices if oil collapses
Cramer's point for anyone holding bank stocks: solid results are no longer being rewarded, and the charts have turned ugly regardless. The bigger swing factor is oil. If the war ends, he expects crude to be cut in half, which would reset inflation and the Fed debate overnight.
i call things like this 'the stupid tax' some people wont realize how overpriced this is, and theyll buy it 🤷♂️
Adding the same four items to a cart separately comes to $16.80, so the promoted bundle charges $11.76 for the convenience of one tap. Grocery apps are quietly becoming a margin business, and the default suggestion is rarely the cheapest cart.
Mad Money w/ Jim Cramer 9/30/26
- Cramer calls housing frozen: the 30-year national average at 7.34% versus 3% five years ago
- Lennar down 20% and KB Home down 17% year to date; Toll Brothers holds up on 25% cash buyers
- Whirlpool suspended its dividend; Home Depot and Lowe's both hit 52-week lows
- IPO and M&A pipelines stalled too, with Oura shelving a $2.2 billion offering
Mortgage rates at multi-decade affordability lows are draining builders, appliance makers and the home-improvement aisles at once, so holders are really running a single trade. Cramer says the group does not recover until the war ends, oil retreats and rate hikes come off the table.
Walmart lifted its quarterly payout 5.3% from a year ago, extending a 26-year streak of raises. Buy after the August 21 ex-date and you wait a full quarter for the $0.2475.
- 2AMGNAmgen$2.52/sh$1.4B
- 3VTRSViatris$0.12/sh$138M
- 4SBLKStar Bulk Carriers$0.90/sh$101M
- 5CBCCentral Bancompany, Inc.$0.12/sh$28.7M
Walmart is sending shareholders about $1.97 billion, or 24.75 cents a share, with the money arriving September 8. Amgen is close behind at roughly $1.36 billion, and its $2.52 a share is the biggest per-share payment on today's list.
Over five years, $10,000 in Walmart is worth $21,842 today versus $16,257 in Amazon. Anyone who assumed e-commerce was the default winner gave up that gap.
A near 10% single-day drop in a mega-cap retailer like Walmart, closing at $103.10, is the kind of move that rarely shows up on a leaderboard next to small caps. Marathon Digital ran the other way, up 13.37%, with Cipher Mining also in the green.
Walmart is off 3.07% even after beating on its fiscal Q2 earnings, a sign the bar for the retail bellwether has moved higher. Rare air for a defensive name, so watch whether buyers step in before the close.
Management is spending the tariff refund windfall on lower prices in the back half, so Q3 guidance of $0.62 to $0.64 matters more than the beat. Full-year adjusted EPS guidance moved up to $2.80 to $2.87.
