Monday's session closed with sellers firmly in control. Four of the five biggest decliners dropped more than 7% in a single day, a lopsided outcome that stood in sharp contrast to the modest recoveries seen among the session's top gainers.
Applied Optoelectronics led the losers, falling 11.6% to close at $110.34, with Hims and Hers, Tempus AI, IonQ and SanDisk all closing lower alongside it.

On the other side of the ledger, AMC Entertainment posted the strongest gain at 6.08%, with Expedia, Snap, Dutch Bros and Ulta Beauty also advancing. None of those advances came close to offsetting the depth of the selling pressure elsewhere.
The asymmetry between the best gain and the worst loss, roughly 6% up versus nearly 12% down, defines the session. When declines outpace advances by that margin, it signals broad distribution pressure, and it is worth watching whether the pattern extends into the next session.
