Harley-Davidson, Inc. is the parent company of Harley-Davidson Motor Company (HDMC). HDMC designs, manufactures and sells heavyweight motorcycles across several families: Grand American Touring (including Trike), Cruiser, Sport and Lightweight, and Adventure Touring. It also sells parts and accessories, riding gear and apparel (Motor Clothes), and licenses the Harley-Davidson brand. HDMC sells through a global dealer network and reports retail sales in North America, EMEA, Asia Pacific and Latin America.
The company holds a controlling interest in Harley-Davidson Financial Services (HDFS), which provides retail and wholesale financing, insurance and other programs to riders and dealers. HDFS has moved to an asset-light model after selling the majority of its securitization beneficial interests and retail finance receivables in 2025, with KKR and PIMCO investing in the unit. Harley-Davidson also holds a controlling interest in LiveWire Group, Inc., a separately listed electric motorcycle maker that recently acquired Dust Motorcycles, Inc.
The company is executing its 'Back to the Bricks' strategy, which focuses on dealer health, aligning wholesale shipments with retail demand, and a rider-centric product portfolio that includes re-introducing the Sportster. Hero MotoCorp distributes and licenses the Harley-Davidson brand in India. The company also operates a Thailand manufacturing operation that serves certain international markets. Updated
