The Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund, known as XLK, is a prominent exchange-traded fund (ETF) that focuses on the technology sector within the United States. Managed by SSGA Funds Management, Inc., XLK aims to mirror the performance of the Technology Select Sector Index. It invests in a mix of growth and value stocks across various market capitalizations, primarily in the information technology sector. Launched in 1998, XLK offers investors exposure to some of the biggest names in tech through a single investment.
