General Motors Company (NYSE: GM) is a global automotive manufacturer that designs, builds, and sells cars, trucks, crossovers, and SUVs under the Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and GMC brands. The company operates through three principal segments: GM North America (GMNA), GM International (GMI), and GM Financial. GMNA represents the vast majority of revenue and profit, encompassing vehicle manufacturing and sales primarily in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. GMI covers operations in markets outside North America, including South America, Asia/Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. GM Financial provides automotive financing solutions including retail loans, leases, and dealer floor-plan financing. GM offers a broad portfolio of gasoline-powered vehicles alongside an expanding lineup of electric vehicles (EVs) as it transitions toward electrification. The company also maintains significant joint venture operations in China through SAIC General Motors and SAIC GM Wuling.
