PSA Peugeot Citroen And GM?

Auto manufacturer PSA Peugeot Citroen said it was in talks about a joint venture to make cars in Europe. It has been presumed by the media that the other party is GM. GM’s EU Opel division is in deep trouble and lost money again last year as sales fell and manufacturing costs stayed high.

A drop in sales is not the only problem the companies face, although it is a big one. The troubled economies of Europe are marked by low consumer spending. PSA Peugeot Citroen and GM will also have to deal with strong unions and the possible objections by some countries in which plants might be shut
