August 13, 2015: Here are four stocks trading with heavy volume among the 133 equities making new 52-week lows today.

Itaú Unibanco Holding SA (NYSE: ITUB) dropped about 4% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low at $7.50 after closing at $7.81 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $18.49. Share volume totaled more than double the daily average of around 14 million. The Brazil-based bank had no specific news today.

Ambev SA (NYSE: ABEV) dropped nearly 3% on Thursday to set a new 52-week low of $5.27 after closing at $5.43 on Wednesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $7.37. Share volume totaled around 15 million shares, about 15% above the daily average of around 13.8 million. The Latin American beverage maker and distributor had no specific news today.

CONSOL Energy Inc. (NYSE: CNX) posted a new 52-week low on Thursday. Shares dropped more than 10% to a low of $12.73 from Wednesday’s closing price of $14.20. The stock’s 52-week high is $42.26. Volume rose nearly 10% above the daily average of around 5.5 million. A report that China may begin exporting coal hit the shares early today, and the drop in natural gas prices later in the day punctuated a poor day for the coal and gas producer.

Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc. (NYSE: POT) dropped about 1.3% on Thursday to post a new 52-week low of $25.82 against a 52-week high of $37.60. The stock closed at $26.15 on Wednesday night. Volume was about 15% above the daily average of around 4.4 million shares traded. The company’s bid to acquire Germany-based salt and fertilizer maker K+S AG was rebuffed (again) earlier this week, raising the likelihood of offering a higher premium if Potash Corp. is serious.
