Ford Motor Company (F) closed the most recent trading day at $12.31, moving -0.89% from the previous trading session. This move lagged the S&P 500’s daily gain of 0.01%. Meanwhile, the Dow lost 0.22%, and the Nasdaq, a tech-heavy index, added 0.67%.

Prior to today’s trading, shares of the company had gained 2.31% over the past month. This has outpaced the Auto-Tires-Trucks sector’s loss of 1.52% and the S&P 500’s loss of 4.45% in that time.

Ford Motor Company will be looking to display strength as it nears its next earnings release. The company is expected to report EPS of $0.40, up 33.33% from the prior-year quarter.
