March 4, 2015: Here are four stocks among the 88equities making new 52-week lows today.

Chesapeake Energy Corp. (NYSE: CHK) dropped about 5.4% on Wednesday to establish a new 52-week low at $15.32 against a high of $29.92. Volume was nearly double the daily average of around 15.8 million shares. The oil & gas company had no specific news today but the huge build to crude oil inventories announced today may have had something to do with the stock’s price drop.

Abercrombie & Fitch Inc. (NYSE: ANF) posted a new 52-week low on Wednesday. Shares dropped about 15% to $20.37 from Tuesday’s closing price of $23.99. The stock’s 52-week high is $45.50. Volume is more than 8-times above the daily average of around 2.4 million shares. The specialty teen retailer had no good news in its earnings report this morning.

Lumber Liquidators Holdings Inc. (NYSE: LL) dropped nearly 13% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $35.55 after closing at $40.78 on Tuesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $109.20. Share volume was more than 12-times the daily average of around 1.7 million shares traded. The wood flooring retailer following investigation requests to 3 federal agenices from a U.S. Senator. The company also cancelled an appearance at the Raymond James investors conference this morning, saying it will hold a conference call on March 12 to provide a business update for investors.

Windstream Holdings Inc. (NASDAQ: WIN) dropped 1.4% on Wednesday to post a new 52-week low of $7.66 after closing at $7.77 on Tuesday. The stock’s 52-week high is $13.30. Share volume was about 10% below the daily average of around 7.6 million shares traded. The smallish consumer communications company with the big dividend yield (12.7% today) had no specific news today.
